Yuglit leaves ZU-ZU!! to watch their backs and attacks the Hisser on the other flank opposite Mensa. ZU-ZU!! lights a second torch and holds it high to light the area as she looks too and fro and watches their backs. If it comes to that she will attack with the torches.

((Did Glory glory really think this group was going to follow orders?)) Well Gory Flory had to at least try to save your lives, after all I don't model my cleric after Friar Tuck.

{{I like having my laptop available now. (When I can sit up.) Not only can I type faster, I don't have to CONSTANTLY remind my Android spellchecker that "Gory" and "Flory" are real words! It accepts "Floradora," "Flora Dora," "Florydory," and "Flory Dory," but not "Gory Flory" - insisting on changing it to "Glory Glory" almost in the same instant that I click SEND.))

Since no characters are using spells or missiles, the referee can immediately resolve melee. The referee remembers to resolve melee in the order of dex scores this time! Skeletons are listed as dex 11 in B2: KotB.
Yulgit has dex 12, and strikes first: 1d20=7, a miss. The skeleton attacks next: 1d20=2, that won't work! Barholmes and Gory Flory each strike at the thing: 2d20=9,18, that's one hit for 1d6=1 htk. A wimpy blow.
The melee continues! The undead do not check morale.
Yulgit swings: 1d20=16, 1d6=2. Skeleton: 1d20=3, I need a different die. Barholmes, Flory: 2d20=5,5 that's two misses.
The melee rages on, with splinters of bone and clouds of old musty dust choking the room.
Yulgit strikes: 1d20=6. Skeleton strikes back with scimitar: 1d20=16, who will that hit (1,2=yulgit, 3,4=mensa, 5,6=flory) 1d6=2, so yulgit. Yulgit has a plate and shield, so the skeleton misses! Mensa and Flory attack: 2d20=18,18 another weird identical roll for these two characters. D1d6=5,3 which is more than enough to reduce the hissing monstrosity to a pile of broken bits and pieces.
The skeleton carried an old scimitar.
All the stone boxes have now been opened. What are your orders for the next turn?

Mensa: (grump, grump, grump) (picks up Zipper and whatever else needs carrying until he starts dropping things like some comedian juggling eggs) "OK, Forrygory, we go now. But bad cave magic kill Zeppo; bad magic can fix Zeppo. Some day, Mensa come back." (sound of something else being dropped)

Let's gather up everything including that old scimitar and anything of value in the last stone coffin and we will return to town. On the way out we will watch to avoid being ambushed and do out best to get back safely.

Which door are you leaving by?

(Mensa looks puzzled. He thought the door through which they came, was open. But as he scans the walls of this conveniently found room - -?)

The door you entered by is still open. You wish to leave by this door?

We leave by the door we came in through and Yuglit leads off followed by Mensa with Zipper, then ZU-ZU!! with the torches and I will bring up the rear. We are watching carefully and proceeding cautiously.

Exploration Turn 18
The party rests after melee, and lights new torches at the end of the hour. The referee rolls for wandering monsters... but as far the characters can tell, nothing seems to show up.
Exploration Turn 19
The company forms in marching order and heads back out the same door they entered this room by. The party marches 30' ahead, takes a left turn, marches 60' to another left turn, and then 30' ahead to an intersection. At the intersection a passage branches off to the right, and the corridor the party is in runs straight ahead, both tunnels leading out of the range of torchlight.

((If Mensa has a torch, he throws it ahead to lengthen the range of sight for the humans. He sniffs the air.))
Mensa: "Tsuuh-TZHU, did I accidentally set Zheppor on fires?"

Exploration Turn 20
The party continues forward 10', 20', 30', 40'. A tunnel branches off to the left, leading 30' to a door. Ahead, the passage continues straight to a crossroads intersection at the periphery of torchlight.
You have 80' of movement left this turn.

Exploration Turn 20 continued:
The party proceeds to the crossroads, from which they can see the stairs to their left.
The party emerges from the ruins of Zenopus tower into the cool night air of the city above. The stars twinkle overhead; the moon is mirrored upon the still water of the harbor. Owls nesting in the rafters of abandoned buildings hoot eerily.
The company carries a bag of jewels, a bundle of swords, and the body of a thief.
What are your orders?

Pending comments from everyone, I think we should had back to town and divide things up and then take Zipper's share and Zipper to his family. We need to know what we have, do you have that handy The Red Baron or do I need to go back through the thread and count it up? It never occurred to me to write it down separately, sorry about that.

If you didn't write it down than you lost the loot on the way out Just kidding. I believe you picked up some sabers from the pirates, a coronet and sword and some jewelry from the sarcophagi, and a scimitar from the skeleton. Other than the sword Mensa is carrying, I don't think the goodies were ever examined or quantified.

PbP is so different from face to face and so stretched out that it is hard to remember things that are normally reflex. I am used to the caller not being the note taker in the face to face game, often at least two people are doing that.
