Good news is the kidney stone is tiny. The bad news is there are numerous gall stones. Consultation on November 8th with surgery on the 14th. The worst part is that spicy food will set them off and I like Hot Wings, Hot Links, Chili, and Chili Cheese Coneys. I had all those for lunch in the past week and put the old gall bladder into overdrive. Starting a soft and easy diet today. Thanks! Wow, I eat spicy food every day of my life. wishing you the best on your surgery, hopefully they will get all the stones and then you can avoid anymore going forward. Thanks, The Perilous Dreamer! No worries, I'm not giving them up completely!!  The "easy foot" diet is just a temporary thing until surgery. |

I had to give up spicy food when I got bleeding ulcers in my early 20s. Thanks, @jamesdixon! I can't even imagine how bad bleeding ulcers are; the imagery is not pleasant so I'm sure it'spainful. |

UGH! Had kidney stones both small and large (7mm had to have that removed.) I FEEL for you! Wife had the gallbladder issues, had that removed laproscopically. Took them forever to diagnose though. Multiple trips to ER thinking she pulled serious back muscles or was having a heart attack. Be well and get better soon!

I have just recently had my blood pressure medicine dosage doubled and added a second medication. Now tracking to see if it does its job. For a while I was down to 1/4 of the dosage I am on now, not sure what is causing my blood pressure to rise so much.

I am still walking every week and still trying to do a single walk of at least 3.5 miles at least once per week. I feel like I must need to do a lot more. |

All else is good despite being Type 2 Diabetic. Though the DR hasn't stated as such, she has heavily implied old age is a good part of the BP issue. I work a labor intensive job which is keeping me pretty slim and active so that's a positive, at least for as long as I'm physically able to do it. Prayers and positive thoughts your way! |

Thank you all, tomorrow they are going to do an ultra sound looking for blood clots in his heart and may implant a heart monitor. This evening he is talking with a little slurring to his speech and improving use of his limbs.

He is going home today, he got an implant. Great to hear he's going home. My stepdad had a stroke a while back and he spent a week or more in the hospital. The first time I spoke with him in the hospital, his speech was not good but it improved dramatically the next day. Praying he continues to improve. |

Yesterday I woke up sick on Christmas morning. Ran a low grade fever a couple of times, today mainly just feeling washed out. My brother-in-law is still have a tough time after his stroke. Also have some memory issues and problems recognizing people.

Yesterday I woke up sick on Christmas morning. Ran a low grade fever a couple of times, today mainly just feeling washed out. My brother-in-law is still have a tough time after his stroke. Also have some memory issues and problems recognizing people. Yes, prayers and positive thoughts his and your way. Strokes are just awful. Found out recently the first of my step-moms (my Dad was indecisive in his relationships lol) almost choked to death on a piece of food too large to swallow. She suffered a stroke approx 2 years ago. My half-brother was informed the stroke affected her ability to judge things. She thought the piece of food she was trying to swallow as bite-sized when in actuality it was not. On my homefront a gaming friend came to the table Sunday before last and he made poor judgement too. His nose was a fountain at the table to the point he was stuffing tissue up there. Later in the week he was in the hospital with pneumonia due to Flu Type A. Of course he infected almost everyone at the table. I'm STILL battling the cough and am harassing him non-stop for his malfeasance. The big jerk! Texted him yesterday with: #meflu can't wait to give it back to you!  |
