raikenclw has not been on since July 27th and erisred has not been on since June 26th. raikenclw I know has health issues and I know that erisred is 71, so everyone please pray for both of them and for their health and well-being. I hope both of them log in soon to let us know that they are OK. Hey All, I'm sorry to have been absent for so long! I'm going to try and do better, starting now.  For Your Information: On September 20 of 2022 - at least I *think* that was the date (I might be off by a day or so) - the fellow employee who came in at 7:00am to relieve me from my audit shift found me lying on the floor in front of the timeclock. I was mostly unresponsive and mumbling nonsense. An ambulance took me to our local hospital, where it was determined that I was suffering from spinal meningitis. I was in and out (mostly out) of consciousness for the next ten days. After getting released, I found that I was very easily fatigued. I still have little endurance, although I'm beginning to fix that with the aid of a recently purchased stationary exercise bike. Thanks to a recent email from The Perilous Dreamer , I was reminded of the wonderful community here and realized that I needed to rejoin. NOTE: I'm thinking about starting a play-by-post and will be making a post about this to the appropriate board. Oh....I'm interested!!!!! |

Just an FYI...asking for hopes/prayers in general. Have a friend suffering from leukemia. Out look positive (?) with two matching marrow transplant donors. he's a gamer and good friend. All positive vibes and prayers welcome!!! If we ever make a Ruins related con happen I'll be sure to drag him along!

many thanks to all of the prayers and well wishes. My friend is now into his second week of marrow transplant and signs are pointing to a positive outcome. I'm on his limited visitor list while he is isolated so I make sure to take advantage while I can and motivate him. We have lots of gaming to do and I've campaigns to inflict on him  He's not getting out of it that easily  |

My dog Daisy passed away this morning, 14 years old and never met anyone she didn't like. She helped me through losing my wife Janet and through the bug lockdowns. I am really going to miss her.

Ugh! Got the latest Pfizer Covid immunization and Flu yesterday. Maybe had a reaction? Felt like I had a fever last night and cold chills on top of it. My Doc is a big proponent as I'm Type 2 Diabetic (though well managed and healthy.) Won't make the mistake of getting both at same time next year. Still a little groggy this AM but improving. Really just complaining for complaints sake as I know I might get some sympathy here Be well all! |

Thanks all! Much better today. Soreness gone and good night's sleep. Will give my Dr. an earful (in a good natured way.) She is a smart lady and has my best interest at heart. Won't amke the mistake of doubling up next time lol.

At the ER. Definitely have a kidney stone. Might have a gall stone as well. Morphine is doing wonders right now

Good news is the kidney stone is tiny.
The bad news is there are numerous gall stones.
Consultation on November 8th with surgery on the 14th.
The worst part is that spicy food will set them off and I like Hot Wings, Hot Links, Chili, and Chili Cheese Coneys. I had all those for lunch in the past week and put the old gall bladder into overdrive. Starting a soft and easy diet today.

I had to give up spicy food when I got bleeding ulcers in my early 20s. |
