The members are all aboard the ship, having introduced themselves to each other, staked out their rooms, and defined their roles. With a six day transit time, the grav table in the rec area is sure to get a workout (Grav table is like ping pong, except the net is a force field that can be set to any height, and the table itself can be set between 0.1 and 10.0 gravities) Everybody decides to familiarize themselves with the data on Atlantia murkhill-subsector.wikia.com/wiki/0810_AtlantiaThey also browse the atlases. They know their mission is not just to visit a starport and do some trading. They need to learn about each world, its inhabitants, its flora, fauna and resources, its political leanings and receptiveness, and the weird and wonderful.

"Well that should just about do it." She said to no one, closing the drawer finished the unpacking from the two large bags that she had brought. Looking around the room that was now hers for the duration of this trip.
"Not too bad." She thought. Aloud she said, "I have to stop talking to myself." Smiling as she smoothed out the creases in her dark green jumpsuit and headed out to the lounge to see if she could find someone a little more engaging to speak with.

"Not too bad." She thought. Aloud she said, "I have to stop talking to myself." Smiling as she smoothed out the creases in her dark green jumpsuit and headed out to the lounge to see if she could find someone a little more engaging to speak with. As the Baroness strides into the lounge she hears whistling and sees, Bronson Han in the small galley cooking. The smell of coffee brewing and what can only be bacon and eggs cooking fills the air. There is a platter heaped with bacon and scrambled eggs, and another platter with a large stack of pancakes on the table in the galley. A pot of honey and a jar of jam is sitting beside the pancakes. Glancing over his shoulder, Bronson grins and says, "Welcome Baroness! I always made it a tradition aboard my previous ships to fry up a good breakfast after we enter jump and everybody's stomach settles down. Sort of starts the crew off on a good foot, so to speak. We won't always have good rations like these, so enjoy."
"BTW, the data we have on our next stop is on the screens over at the table. I thought we all could go over it together over breakfast."Bronson turns back to his cooking, taking the last of the bacon off the griddle. After washing his hands and removing the 'Kiss The Cook' apron Bronson starts to bring the food over to the table where plates and dinnerware have been laid out.

Laughing, "Shelby, please." Grabbing the coffee mug was she had brought with her from her last billet. Navy logo on one side and HMS Valour on the other. Filling up the mug, she snatched a piece of bacon and looked at Bronson.
"What can I help with?"

San Halo studies the data and the maps. ( makofan, where is the starport we will be docking at?) San begins to plan his engagement with the merchants and the star port. He hopes his experience and rank will help him to get involved with some of the major movers of the major trade guilds. From there he hopes to build his knowledge of the flora, fauna, the weird and wonderful, and, ultimately, their receptivity to further trade with us and the company we represent.

Buzz wanders in, lured by the smell of bacon and coffee. He scratches himself and scans his eyes over the Library Data on screen:
"Hmmph."
"Aw for cryin' out loud!"

Just over the southern tip of Atlantia, above the capital city Atlantis.
OOC: I'll leave this a day for more questions or posts, then jump you into the system

de Cloudeforte punched off the treadmill, and dialed the ambient gravity back down to 1g. He shaved carefully and showered, humming tristan und isolde, then ascended to the main galley, skipping steps, and entered, emphatically shouting "Bonjour, messieurs les capitaines. J cherche quelque chose a boire: ou est votre brandy?"

Buzz low-fives Hutch in agreement.
"Small planet, thin atmosphere — lotsa snow and ice. Glad I brought my cold-weather kit! It's likely those forests there are pretty stubby; imagine most'a the populace are concentrated 'round the girdle where it's a bit warm. Imagine the days are pretty short.
"Now what are those two red marks on the islands off Minerva — volcanoes?"

Chuckling at the byplay about the weapons restrictions, "It's an A-Class Starport, has to be some cargo or passengers that we can take on there, even if it's just mail."

You come out of jump about 1 000 000 km from the planet, well outside the orbits of its three small asteroid-sized moons. It glistens like a blue and white jewel in the distance. All looks pretty standard, and the planet should be about five and a half hours away

"I enjoy emergence from the jump, the view is beautiful on arrival," says de Cloudforte.
He retires to dress in clean starched attire and saber, assembles his equipment, then awaits orders in the common room.

San checks in at the bridge to captain the docking. "I don't suppose a ban on shotgun is also a general ban on fire arms? I'd be hard pressed to part with my revolver." "I think you might have to leave aboard the ship, especially, if we leave the Starport area." Bronson says, "Remember, we have to snoop around a little while we're here. Find out if they have any products worth buying, what they need or want to buy themselves. Check out the state of the local politics, plus nail down the physical stats. I know we have a profile, but who knows if it's accurate. We're being paid to make sure it is." "We've got a 6 tons of high quality blades, 35 tons of Alumimun, and a couple of ATV's to sell, too! All told, that should net us in the area of 125,000 CR. Not chump change." Bronson says and adds, "San, you're the only one of us with a Merchant background, so maybe you should be the one to contact a local broker about selling our cargo once we're in port."

"That is exactly my intention. Perhaps we could each head out with a particular goal in mind as per our general purpose. Mine is to get a good sell, find some good trade items to swap out, and to get in good with the highest rolling traders on the planet!"

Your scanners are busy working on the surrounding space, and the only ship of note is another 200-ton trader, the standard free trader type. Its transponder identifies it as the AMS "Beowulf" out of Atlantia

"Well, I'll do the standard shutdown in Engineering, schedule for a refueling and check with the local shipyard about fitting weapons in one of our turrets. I know we aren't going to do that, but they don't know we aren't going to buy and it will give me a chance to scope out the port facilities, get a confirmation on what their yard can build." Bronson says, "Our reports say grade A, let's make sure they really are."

Patching into the comms system, "AMS Beowulf, this is the Free Trader Rim Runner inbound to Atlantia. This is our first time in system are you inbound or outbound?" Taking another sip of the coffee from breakfast and moving the three strands of her hair behind her left ear, again.

Taking another sip of the coffee from breakfast and moving the three strands of her hair behind her left ear, again. OOC: The reason Bronson doesn't do the hailing is that he's back in Engineering putting the jump drive into safe mode and keeping an eye on the maneuver drive as it comes up. He's talking to the bridge over the intercom.

"Welcome Rim Runner. We are inbound. I do not recognize your origin. You've come a long way?" "Copy that, we are a Far Trader looking to do some trading in the local systems any advice that won't cut into your margins would be appreciated and first drinks on us after docking in return." Glancing up to make sure that there aren't any objections to her offer.
