Thomas: "There are tales of coins and valuable items that have been found in this dungeon. The claims do ring of street gossip. The tales also speak of the place not being empty so there could very well be challenges inside. Maybe there are powerful weapons or other items of magic as well...". Sor looks back at Ferdinand, who appears to be paying no attention at all. "Two shares to me, and I will see to Ferdinand? Agreed?" Nodding his head approvingly, Thomas says, "It all comes out to the same so why not?".

Thomas: "Brother Roderick, do you have anything to add? Brother Gereon, how long will it be before we should have the volunteers and any aid you may offer?".

Gereon waits to see if any other speaks before he answers.

Though the quiet pair have been intently listening to the discussion at hand, the smoldering and pacing of the cloaked Hobbit was mildly distracting to, at least Anexos, who coughed lightly. In the short time he has known Bosco, he has exhibited a certain lack of patience; perhaps so, that in his haste, errors could be made. He would watch the actions of the little one carefully, for despite his quick wit and confidant demeanor, words and behavior are often at odds...
Anexos also considered the Elves; strange beings of magic - not too much unlike himself. However, the fey nature of these beings could be a liability as well.
The men of the One-God faith were also a curiosity, for Anexos prayed to no deity and had some difficulty understanding the concept beyond being granted spells. Magic he understood - paths to power, knowledge, and mysteries...
Bosco: Fantastic! (rubbing his small, gloved hands together) Now that our peculiars are a bit sorted, what say we get this plan in action, eh?

Roderick: "2 shares for the two of you is agreed"
Roderick glanced back at Biswil; Biswil looks at Ferdinand and shrugs.

Roderick to the other's: when this is settled here we should go back to the inn and write up our covenant, seal it with some beverages and the Biswil and I will scout out for a good rendezvous point just out of the city. A copse of trees perhaps or sheltered place where we can gather, over the course of a few hours, and start our yourney. In that way we can avoid leaving as a big group from the town and draw unwanted attention.

Gereon speaks, "Selecting a meeting place a mile or so west of town is a most prudent idea.
Let's make a list of the supplies that you will need and I will let you know what is possible. It should take no more than two days. We have to gather things that will not be missed. There is no way to supply riding animals for you, but four old mules and a wagon can all be moved separately and the wagon reassembled outside town. Bread loaves and hardtack can be provided and a few other foodstuffs, salt, herbs and lard. I'm told by the hunters that game is plentiful and the streams are full of fish.
I have a place where you can draw up your covenant, you must not talk of this anywhere you can be overheard. And if drink makes any of you speak untimely, then you should refrain. The two I warned you of have many spies, but I know who can be trusted and you do not. If you bring wrath down on your own heads, that is one thing, but if you bring it down on those who would help you, that is another thing altogether.
Will you all take an oath that you will not endanger any of the townfolk with loose talk?

Roderick I swear and may St. Christopher bless our journey.
Biswil"What strange customs you have!", looking around, "I do not intend to mention our trip to anyone."

Gereon speaks, "Will you all take an oath that you will not endanger any of the townfolk with loose talk?" The diminutive halfling looked over his shoulder and then turned as his newfound companions spoke, his face contoured into an incredulous grimace. Bosco: " An oath?! Bullocks!"I took one of those once years past and by that foolishness 'twas nearly my very life. No thank you, Brother Gereon. I'll breath not another such thing to one I barely know and nor shall I speak my way into a grave." He sighed heavily with mild irritation. Bosco: "But fear not, good shepherd; your villagers shan't come to harm by my tongue." The large man of alabaster locks crossed his arms and lifted his chin to speak. His words were measured with conviction and clarity. It was perhaps the most he'd spoken this entire engagement. Anexos: "Your words are born of misplaced suspicion, priest; but hear me well that I'll not jeopardize this venture before it has begun with careless speech - for in that, I am quite deliberate." JM.

Gereon laughs heartily, "That is good enough for me, those who have been harmed by the oaths of those who pretend to be righteous have good reason to be skeptical of oaths. So I have the measure of each of you and I will attend to my part. I have a room where you all can write your covenant with each other and make that list of which I will gather what I can. Also I think about ten men will be enough help, but will also not be missed."

OOC: So is there a scene change now or should we keep chattering? OOC: Once you guys post a (somewhat) reasonable supply list for Gereon to go through, then we will transition to a new thread for the next part.

OOC: While you are waiting for the new thread to be opened, don't forget that there is an OOC thread you can discuss things in or by PM.
Also some of you have mentioned a covenant, is that being done or is it just theoretical?
Those of you that still have coin can also buy food for instance Lower Quality Rations (calorie source) for one person for one week are available at only 50 CP, something to stretch your supplies with that can be supplemented with what you can forage.
Let me know of any thing you purchase and add to your character sheet.

My characters will want a month each of LQR for a total, I think, of 4 SP? I'll go mark that now.
