For all our new members, those who have joined in the last year, one place you might take a look is at The Village Moot (aka The Polls), this is where all polls are moved to once they have run their course. By custom here we usually do not set polls to expire, but leave them all active so that new members may also vote if they want to. There are a few that were set to expire and those might be run again for that reason. If it has not expired, then you are welcome to vote, comment and revive the thread. I am going to add a new suggestion or highlight a different part of the forum in this thread from time to time. If you have something you want to run a poll on, please do that here in the Village Commons and please do not set it to expire. Polls can be designed for members to pick only one answer or they may be designed to allow multiple answers to be selected.

Also a note for new members, thread necromancy is approved here, generally you can revive any thread if you are making a contribution to the thread. From time to time someone on staff may revive a thread just because they think it has been long enough since it was last seen that more discussion is to be had and of course our founder may revive any thread for any reason.

Another note for new members is that we try to avoid real world politics, because that can become acrimonious very quickly and because it has become such a sordid and depressing topic. Also because the days when old men, sitting on a bench in front of a store debating politics and other subjects for hours with passion and then in the evening moving indoors and having a friendly beer together seem to be gone. We also try to avoid discussing religion, although here we do approve of encouraging one another as we each encounter life's trial and challenges. The appropriate place for that is the long running thread Members and Loved Ones Health and other Serious Matters where it is appropriate to pray for each other or however you make supplication to the object of your worship. If you are not a worshiper, it is still appropriate for you to wish others well in their difficulties. This thread is for people to share their difficulties and troubles and to be encouraged, this is not a thread for any negativity or attacks on the beliefs of others. Outside of this area, we try to avoid real world religion and stick to religion in game terms. We do have one other exception to that, down in the category The Murkhill Homebrew Campaigns Community anyone who wants to write about their personal home campaign is encouraged to do so. See this thread for how to make that happen How do I get my own campaign forum?. Also inactive campaigns sub-forums are archived in this area, inactive means you do not login or participate in the forum for quite a spell. If you become active again, on request, your campaign sub-forum will be moved back to the main page. Now in these home brew specific areas, some of you may use real world religions or obvious analogs of them and that is acceptable in this area. If you are reading about a home brew campaign and you discover that a real world religion is being used, if that offends you, just stop reading. Do not start stinking up the threads in that area or rant about it elsewhere on the forum, that area belongs to that member and as long as they are not advocating something illegal, they have some leeway in what they post.

This is great for everyone to know, since many forums really hate thread necromancy and here we realize how good thread necromancy can be.
