The Pirate/Slaver ship has lifted and appears to be running. The crew of Clear Sails are aboard their ship on the tarmac. Where is everyone: Peng is locked in the Port turret, Ekhunoz is seated in the Pilot's chair on the Bridge. Blackjack and Dr. Vargas are in Sickbay. Tol, Aarav, Casca, Cyril, and the Delgado folks are still in the cargo hole.
OOC: Charlie and Tak will have to "deal" with the Vargr in some way before they can jump into the Pilot/Co-Pilot chairs.
Charlie, are you locking the turrets from the Bridge...it's doable, but you might want to let Peng out  You still don't know where Gil is...no one has heard anything from him since you all jumped out of the mystery woman's grav vehicle.

If he feels threatened, he’ll shoot. |

The body has been taken away. Both of Casca's bloodied hands are in the air. He sees others leaving the cargo bay, and no one yet speaking to him. He secretly hopes he'll be left alone and be free to depart from these people before they take off.
He sees another person in the air/raft, also with his hands in the air. Another innocent like himself? He wonders. A scene plays out in his head where he promises to take the three on the left, how many can you take? But of course he knows not to say any of that aloud.

Charlie keeps his distance as much as he can and escorts the Vargr to the cargo bay to join the others before returning to the bridge and locking the hatch behind him, sealing him and Tak into the bridge. |

Aarav remains seated on the deck but slowly lowers his hands. "Well met . . . Administrator. I'm a former scout navigator and pilot." He nods toward the cargo hold door. "Just a bystander out there who didn't like it that starport security stood by and watched your fight with those . . . pirates. So I took their air/raft and tried to help. Your . . . fellow being--sorry, I'm not familiar with your people--seemed to find that helpful." |

Tokheletoi sighs and holsters her pistol. "Allow me a moment." She keys her comm. "Medical, what is the status of our wounded? Charlie wishes to know if Gil is there, as well".
Meanwhile, Takheal is still going through the hasty start checklist to get the ship airborne.

Casca looks around, noticing that the cotrols of the air/raft have been left abandoned. He checks to see if there's a ship's boat access from this cargo hold. His hands are still in the air, and he is uncertain if he is a prisoner or if he is free to leave.

Ekhunoz responds to the comm. "Its on the deck at 075 relative, flight level zero and climbing, 3-4 aahh.. Klicks. I'm off line now."Peng switches from the turret-to-turret circuit to the general intercom line. His drawling tones reverberate throughout the ship as he replies: "Roger, Whoever You Are. Adjustin' to take the A**holes back under fire, soon as we lift. Uh. We ARE liftin', right? Someone's surely in the pilot's seat by now?"As he speaks, Peng aligns his turret on the correct bearing. He then starts fiddling with the auto-linkage software, trying to bring the unmanned turret into synch with his own. Peng mutters to himself, "Come on, Peng. You used to know how to do this in your sleep . . ." |

Pausing in his struggle with the software, Peng keys the general intercom line again and drawls, "By the way, wherever Sand Slinger went, I'd like him back in the other turret. At th' least, he's a warm and willin' body for reloadin' the launcher. I'm gonna be busier than a one-legged man in an a**kickin' contest, mannin' both stations, so if he's got any skill at all at the job, he's welcome."
Peng pauses for a couple of seconds, then adds: "Oh! Almost forgot! Sand Slinger said the A**holes WERE on the deck at 075 relative, flight level zero but climbing, at about 4 klicks. 'Course, that was most of half a minute ago. No tellin' where they are now, given it's takin' us FREAKING FOREVER to lift off. Peng out."

Peng finally manages to slave the other turret to his own controls, devoting the lower third of his own tactical screen to a miniaturized version of the other turret's screen. Once he's checked all the readouts - making sure that all weapons and support electronics are online and ready to go - he forces himself to take several deep breaths, trying to lower his stress level.
As he sits there waiting for the Sails to lift, Peng mutters to himself: "darn A**holes lifted off immediately they were aboard, so I guess they had someone sittin' in their pilot's seat with the engines warm. Gonna have to remember to do that, next time we set down in a free-fire zone."
