You may cast 3 as a standard action but are muted and rendered unable to cast for 24 hours, this is a standard action.This spell is extremely common and one of only 2 spells that are both on the universal and Necromatic spell lists.

Does d4 damage for 20 rounds of concentration.you may change targets twice.

Why is that spell extremely common? It seems more like a last resort spell since it causes damage to the caster and a a significant amount at that.

Virtue spell
0 Level Cantrip
Range: Touch
This spell provides 1 temporary Hit Point until it is used. This hit point stacks with your currant HP, but does not stack with itself, that is you cannot cast it multiple times to gain multiple temporary HP.
The duration is indefinite and the spell lasts until the temporary HP is used when damage is taken.
This spell is both common and popular , more than 80% of mages have this spell.

This is a permanent spell, this means that you memorize, cast it and it is permanently up and running until you memorize over it, This can get stuck and you might need heroics to get it out of your head.
Spell adds 2 damage resistance to mage(this means that the first 2 damage points from any source is negated)
