Oh man, you have upset my hordes of savage Northmen and have caused them to go on hunger strike, which led to billions of carabu crossing the border and eating all of the crops. I hope your proud of yourself! My orcs have disappeared, they said that they couldn't work under such strict and terrible working conditions, and the half-orcs are attacking the King's castle all in an uproar . . . well, they were going to do that anyway, so your off the hook on that one.

My orcs work very hard to serve me, they work terrible hours, are never home, even on Christmas. They have desires. Besides, they are orcs, and there are worse things that they could be doing besides making little half-orcs. How about if they give the enemies women flowers and candy first?
I wouldn't recommend eating the candy.

I have a weird take on this issue,. Online and in my tons of convention going, women have been not just good, but superb. In my home game they have been nothing but trouble.Both they themselves and the actions of my male players. it has been nothing but drama. And yet the dozens of women at con I have run and played in, I found the women there def above average in actual play and in DMing skill.

I have also roleplayed with women from time to time & never had issues at the table except from their boyfriends taking umbrage from in game npc-to-pc flirting with their girlfriends. One time it derailed the whole game but that was over a decade ago. I'd love to have a group with a sizable female presence - must see if I can find some geeky Metalhead &/or Goth chics into Grim Dark Old School RPGs.

IMO the role of Women in D&D is to keep the guys from making poor decisions that get everyone killed.  Don't laugh, there is a lot of truth to that. IME women are better at planning, strategy and tactics. |

That's been my experience too, the average woman player is more serious about the game than the average male player, I chalk it up to a better attention span. |

This says everything that needs to be said. Rule 0A - Don't play with jerks. That's a good rule to follow and not just in games. it can sometimes be really hard to identify them in the short term. |

Quoted for truth. As for the role of women in roleplaying*, it's whatever the women want it to be. Though the rule about "don't be a jerk" applies to everyone. *: I play with women in two of my 5E games, and a woman in my Shadowrun game. |

I agree with a classic comedian who is, ironically, in disfavor nowadays. (Let's not discuss this until and unless a jury decision is made by people wiser than me, even if they weren't wise enough to get out of jury duty.) In rolegames, as in Real Life, women are (in my experience) the real Bosses. As the aforereferenced comedian said "In my home, my wife is the boss. I've seen the boss's job and I don't want it."
Or I could reference the oldest bishop in the world (or he was before he stopped aging, the hard way) to whom I said I could never join the church because it was sexist, and he replied "It's true. We do believe that women are, in general, superior."
