Contrary to popular belief, Plesiosaurs are not dinosaurs. They are a group of marine reptiles. Measuring anywhere between 10 and 14 metres, Elasmosaurus is the longest known Plesiosaur. Its neck alone measured roughly half of its total body length. It lived in North America during the Late Cretaceous.
