Preface: The following is inspired by a conversation with kjatoragfoot . Thanks for the ideas!
1. Napoleon is an 18th level Evoker with an 18 CHA. The reason for this is that the M-U class has been compared to an artillerist, and, Napoleon was such in the real-world. Of course, the Evoker would be the ultimate artillerist...
2. In the unlikely event that Napoleon should be slain, he shall return as a devil lich, from Hell. (Based on a computer game).
3. It is possible that Napoleon exercises some measure of control over the fellow members of The Gallic Treaty, through magick items (golden circlets) similar to the Rings from the Lord of the Rings. If this is true, treat it as a demand spell (Unearthed Arcana), usable a certain number of times per day.
The Gallic Treaty realms are: * Arles * Brettony * Burgundy * Flanders * Francia * Navarre * Neustria * Savoy
If this is true, then The Gallic Treaty leaders think that these are simply circlets of sending: Circlets that allow the casting of a sending spell, a limited number of times per day).
The truth, however, is more insidious: they are circlets of demanding (as per the circlet of sending, but a demand spell, instead).

Wizard ranking: #18 Priest ranking: #16 Overall Magickal Ranking: #17
Alchemy, Heka-Forging && Metaphysics: #1 on Aerth
Elemental magick: #1 out of 5. Use the Elementalist class from Tome of Magic. Alchemy: #1 out of 5. Use the Alchemist class from Dragon. Heka-Forging: #1 out of 5. This is simply the creation of magic items. Occultism: #1 out of 5.
* The Eiffel Tower is lit up by continual light spells. * Elementals are used in an industrial context, sometimes. * Potions and minor magick items are available to buy (use double the DMG sale price, but sharply limit which items can be bought: Unlimited Adventures is an excellent example).
Francia is a high-magic setting.

Thanks... I am really into the idea of "PbP BIRTHRIGHT". That said, I don't have BR, yet...
I am seriously thinking about changing the Gallic Treaty to the Carolingian Alliance, with Burgundy being the nominal head. It's important to remember:
* Charlemagne rules as leader of Burgundy. * Technology in the realms of the Burgundian Alliance is Dark Ages: less than that ov the Iberians (due to their close relations with Atlantis), and, the Helvetians.
Europe remains in a bit of a Dark Ages: if one has magic, is there a need for technology?
