Thumbnail Sketches: This ancient Anatolian kingdom is slightly
larger than Byzantium, controlling aboot 55K sq. mi. ov
territory. Its regions ov old mts. virtually surround a level plain
dotted w/ lakes && woodlands. The forests are ov all maner ov
valuable trees, && in them are typical large && small game animals.
The Lydians are now principally ov Grecian race (cf. Ionia), although
the original inhabitants ov he land might well have been a mix ov
Hellenic && Azirian stock. Their social structure is very similar to the
Byzantine. Cereals, veggies, fruits, && ca$h crops are also the typical
ones for the AREA. The region is fertile, && harvests are
generally good to xcellent. Livestock (horses, asses, mules, cattle,
sheep, goats, poulty, etc.) is kept && provides amply for the whole
ov the pop. ov the kingdom.
Mining yields gold, silver, copper, tin, salt, iron, && coal. Spinal &&
carnelian ov gem quality are also found in Lydia.
