Thumbnail Sketches: The land ov Senegal covers about 70k
sq. mi. ov rainforest && plain S. of Dakhlan. To the interior &&
below are nothing but savage, unexplored forests. Senegal itself is
over 1/2 rainforest, && on its wild plains therein can be found lion,
leopard, hyena, cheetah, wolf, elephant, giraffe, zebra, antelope,
gazelle, ostrich, && ape. Near the rivers are the hippo, &&
crocs are to be found in large numbers in the waters ov this land.

Dakar is a city which shows its mixed heritage--Atlantlan, Berber, &&
Black Senegalese--in a most interesting way. It is a mighty walled
port situated in a small peninsula thrusting westwards into the Lantlan
Ocean's Gulf ov Goree on Capnal Vyrte, && thus it is the most westerly
harbor ov Afrik. It has all manner of foreigners in it, incl. Atlantlans,
Berbers, Bedouins, Afali<>, Iberians, Phoenicians, etc. Unfortunately, its riches from caravan && sea
TRADE, agriculture, natural resources,
&& TRADE too frequently attract a bad element.

The volk ov Senegal are a very unusual mixture ov races, the
typical individual being half Black, a quarter Red, && a quarter White
in blood. Nonetheless, the culture is most strongly influenced by
Atlantlan society. The distinctions between classes are very much
blurred, SAVE in the extremes. However, the very powerful aristocrats
have absolute ower ov life && death && are greatly feared and/or
respected.

The principal crops ov Senegal are

peanuts.
Cash yields come from

sugar cane,

cola nuts,

are grown, some being xported.

Livestock incl.

Fish is very important as a food && xport item.

Forest products incl. timber, rare woods, && medicine.

Mines produce iron in small quantity, some fair quantities ov gold
&& copper, a little mercury, && large amounts ov titanium. Quarry
operations manage only small amounts ov good building stone but
high yields ov brick && potter's clay.

There are rules for the Witch Doctor in 1E, but it seems to be a class solely geared for humanoids (orcs, gobs, kobs, && xvarts).

The Black Senegalese of the jungle areas worship a supreme deity known as Rog Sene.

A mythical monster known as the thundercat is found in Senegal. It's appearance is accompanied by storms of a most severe nature.
The king of Senegal is known as the Black Panther, and, it is rumored that he has the ability to turn into this animal.
A mysterious race of cheetah-people are found in Senegal: little is known about them.

Though native to Inner Aerth, brachiosaurs are found along the Senegal Delta. Due to their slow movement, they can be hunted, but woe to any who come too close!

Near the entrance of the Senegal delta are two petrified brachiosaurs, their necks entwined. Moss grows over these cyclopean statues, and, it is possible to ride a boat under the arch formed by the entwined necks.
