arjen, JMiskimen, hengest and The Semi-Retired Gamer later in the game the age of your character might become important, so use the above as guidance to what ages you characters might be. No rush, but when you don't have anything else to do you might go ahead and decide how old your characters are. It is fine if you say approximately _________. Note: Hobbits rarely adventure and those that do often don't do it long. That said, an adventuring hobbit could fall way outside the above typical, as could elves and dwarves. Human will sometimes adventure to the limit of physical ability or even beyond.

I would say Roderick is 42; he became a cleric later in life. Biswil is 120; an eager young buck.
