Looking at pages 11 and 12 you can see that a lot of work was put into demons which did not show up until several years later in Eldritch Wizardy. Amazing to see how much that idea was fleshed out during the playtest era.
Also this appears to be all Arneson's notes, so we can see a huge chunk of material in Eldritch Wizardy that he was not credited for or at the very least should have had a co-credit as author of Eldritch Wizardy along with Gygax and Blume.

Other than perhaps, some growing "antagonism" of Gary towards Dave, might Gary's religious views have had an impact regarding inclusion of Demons? Simply conjecture here...

I don't recall any "antagonism" occurring until money started being made. I recall reading by Rob Kuntz about things starting to go sideways after the thing had already grown quite a bit post publication and that it was not part of the pre-publication era. Besides this stuff was published later (1976) and Arneson was not credited at that time, if indeed those were his ideas.
