What is not to love about mimics. I have a dungeon were I combined mimics with magic mouth and then stirred. The dungeon was built with these creatures as servants. Some are walls, some furniture and some as lots of other things. They were left alone with no people for a couple of thousand years, some had each other to talk to and are still just fine, others are insane from the isolation in rooms alone. In one room these creatures run an interdimensional bank that operates and has branches scattered throughout the multiverse.

Kudos for that. I like mimics, too, although the way I think, I would never use one in a game. However, they are awesome.

I love that last sentence, that entire adventure 100% was created in the moment on the fly, and that last bit just really grew organically out of that evening. And best of all, the players all went with the whole thing. The railroad folks, think these things can't happen and they are oh, so wrong.
