I need to get this version of Star Wars. It's 4K and restored to the 77 version as in ONLY Han shot and other stuff. The website is here: Project 4K77 and here's a trailer.

And shame on George Lucas, for trying to bury the original films.

And shame on George Lucas, for trying to bury the original films. I couldn't agree more. I can understand some of the updates. For example, the updated projected image of The Emperor greatly improved the look. Even if something was improved in a positive manner, I feel like the original versions should still be available; I don't mind them being part of a double DVD special edition or whatever.

There are some classic movies that should be re-released to theaters every ten years in the original versions and the Star Wars Trilogy is one that should be included.

Seeing the Star Wars trilogy in the theaters was a BIG-TIME event when I was a young boy, and I would like to do that again. I remember the theaters selling calendars, posters, and all sorts of other goodies when certain movies were released. When Star Trek the Motion Picture was released one of the local theaters had someone do a great drawing of the Enterprise on their front glass with something resembling shoe polish. It would be awesome to be able to go pay to watch all three movies back-to-back.

Of course there was a time when I could have watched them all without a break.

I wouldn't mind going to one of these modern theaters with nice reclining seats that let you order burgers, pizza, chicken, etc. and have it delivered to your seat.

Slow Clap! The update that bothered me the most was the scene with a CGI'd Jabba confronting Han in the landing bay. WTF? The slug is a crime boss and he let the scoundrel step on his tail???

Yeah, I didn't like that scene at all! It just made no sense to me. Didn't Jabba have a group of goons with him as well? I completely agree with Han being a sneaky scoundrel and shooting Greedo before anything could happen BUT there's no way a crime boss and his goons would let that fly.
