Here I am creating artifacts to go with the names on the list in the other thread. Often they may be incomplete and I will come back to them now and then to flesh them out more fully.

The Swift Talisman of the Homunculus - This artifact will produce 1,000 Homunculi, each armed with a poison tipped needle (a spear for them) and they will swarm all over whatever they are directed to attack. They climb like a monkey and can leap up to 3 feet into the air. One successful stab will kill an ordinary person or equivalent. Four successful stabs will kill an ogre. You get the idea.

The Wicked Staff of Chaos - This legendary artifact is eagerly sought by Evil High Priests (sometimes incorrectly called an anti-cleric). It is claimed that this staff will double the power of an EHP anytime he is holding it. In addition it has an assortment of spells, all of which can be used three times per day, every day. If a "final strike" is made with this staff it explodes killing nearly anything within a 500 yard radius. After which it reforms and goes in search of a new owner.

The Stone of the Avenger - This artifact is a sling stone, that once placed in a sling can be thrown four times per round by a worthy user every round for 20 rounds, then it goes inert for four hours. A worthy user is a Lawful fighter who has steered clear of all morally ambiguous acts from his youth. He must never have used edged weapons. This sling stone is +5H, +5D and does 3d4 damage.

The Sabre of the Miracle-worker - This artifact seeks out Paladins who are extremely good, even for a Paladin. As long as the Paladin maintains his extreme goodness and wears/uses this blade, he can lay on hands for 1d8 points of healing 12 times a day. He can cure any disease by laying on hands for up to 100 people twice per day. He also functions as those he is AC -5 vs any Undead or Evil Creature. He can also turn undead as a 12th Level Cleric. He also gains 8 clerical spells that he can use once each per day from any of the 1st three levels of clerical spells.

The Vampire's Shard - This artifact is eagerly sought by vampire's. It allows them to impersonate a real human and to walk about freely in sunlight. When a cleric tries to turn them, the cleric rolls as though he is 4 levels lower. When detect evil is used it gives no response, making them really hard to identify.

The Bracelet of Resurrection - This artifact can resurrect any human who has not been dead more than a day, as long as the body is present. You can put the Bracelet on person after person one after the other every other round until no one remains that meets the requirement of not being dead more than a day.

The Charm of the Berserker - This artifact when worn raises the Charisma of a Berserker to 18 and gives him an additional +5 on reactions with women. It will make his foes in battle hesitate giving them a -5H versus the Berserker. It also hides the smell of his unwashed body.

The Eager Sabre of Knowledge - This artifact is sought by magic-users. It does several things. It allows the magic-user to function as though his Intelligence is 18. It also gives him a 15% bonus to learn any spell and allows him to attempt to relearn any spell he may have failed to learn in the past. It also grants him knowledge to search out and devise new spells. It allows him to read any language as long as it is on a magical scroll. It also makes his effective level, three levels higher.
