hengest GREAT thread! Have an exalt!! I think you just wanted us to try to add more to it so I just did the next two four lines. I used to be a little bit of a writer so this is really fun. Evil treads on like a rolling wheel,Crushing our hopes upon a millstone.
Once defeated - the Dark Lord did heal,
Now turning his foes to dust and bone.

Ok...how about this, hengest and The Perilous Dreamer. The world is coming out of a decline. It was a little more advanced in the past (the steel part) but has regressed to the point of coming out of a more primitive regression. Can anyone roll with that? |

The world is coming out of a decline. It was a little more advanced in the past (the steel part) but has regressed to the point of coming out of a more primitive regression. Can anyone roll with that? I was trying a whole writeup but got bogged down, so I'll try contributing here. I was thinking of a city made of steel, relatively recent make, on the backdrop of stonework, the techniques for which have been lost. At some spots in the city there is evidence that steel and stone were worked together for a time. |

My take is that it's a modern city that is made of metal and stone. Due to circumstances it's now firmly in a fantasy world with the standard AD&D player races inhabiting the city. The monsters are all back as well. Wow, some surprises for commuters today. |
