Have you used the Majestic Wilderlands Supplement and if so how much? Myself so far not at all, I have not read it yet.

Haven't used it, but it was interesting reading for sure. Particularly, if I remember correctly, he has a lot to say about the hex crawl. I've never been able to make that work, so I should probably go back and read that some more.

I haven't ran it, but I played in a short S&W:WB campaign where the DM was using it. I remember reading the one made for S&W, but have never read the originals. My memory is a bit hazy on it.

I have been using it, in a slightly modified or tailor-made form, in a continuous campaign that has run for 5-6 years now. You guys don't know what your missing ... The Wilderlands are Sword and Sorcery GOLD.

Note sure if Perilous Dreamer just meant the Majestic Wilderlands supplement here: www.batintheattic.com/majesticwilderlands.phpor if he meant the Wilderlands in general from Judges Guild. I've only played in the supplement I mentioned above, but I just picked up CSIO and Wilderlands of High Fantasy and will be running them in my next campaign!

The former but, don't feel obligated to constrain the conversation - it is perfectly fine in my threads to broaden the conversation or start a new thread - whichever grabs you!

The Majestic Wilderlands supplement is pretty interesting. I believe it is based on how Robert Conley customized his Wilderlands campaign (though, I'll admit I'm not completely sure about that). It provides lots of different things for players. Sub-classes for the 4 core classes. They're not meant to be entirely balanced. It offers some races that aren't traditionally available in S&W. Even the normal races have some changes to them. New races include Gnomes, Orcs, Goblins, Lizardmen, Viridians, etc... It offers a small skill system. It works quite well, but I'm not a fan of skill systems in D&D aside from Theif skills. There are a few optional combat rules you can add. My personal favorite being light crossbows get +2 to hit, and heavy crossbows getting +4 to balance out their lower rate of fire, and to represent their armor piercing ability. It also introduces ritual casting, and some new spells, monsters, and treasures. About half the book (maybe a bit less) is focused on detailing the Wilderlands map. Every section of the original map gets a modest description, with the 2 main areas around the 2 city-states getting much more detailed. The author goes into the different cities and villages describing them for you. This is much more detail than the Wilderlands of High Fantasy goes into.
All in all, this is set up just like the original OD&D supplements. It is split into 3 chapters based on the lbb's and offers optional rules to add on as you wish. I have to say I'm impressed with the world that Robert Conley describes. I'm not sure if all the Judges Guild Wilderland supplements are like the Wilderlands of High Fantasy, but the Majestic Wilderlands offers much more detail than the Wilderlands of High Fantasy.
Thanks for bringing this topic up. I had this printed a few years ago when I was playing that S&W campaign, but didn't go too into it. Now that I'm coming up on running a Wilderlands book, I'll definitely be reading this for inspiration on the areas in my campaign. I don't know how much I'll use, but it is great inspiration.

It's not only useful, but it's a good read as well. Used it and earlier portions for my Castles and Crusades campaign almost 10 years ago - It was just so good to play in the Wilderlands again.
Strongly recommend you seek it and try it, Raven.
And Robert? Any time you want to release any more, please don't let me stop you!
