It rained here the whole weekend and is still raining this evening. We have had about 3 inches of rain now. So just cold and dreary, would have been great to be outside and grilling.

Ahh the fine art of charcoal grilling! I'm lazy and cook with propane lol/ PD I hear you, this winter just doesn't end!!! I'll be at work most of the day and then playing in that 1E/2E game where the DM runs a fave character as an NPC, assuming of course I can stay awake.

Ahh the fine art of charcoal grilling! I'm lazy and cook with propane lol/ PD I hear you, this winter just doesn't end!!! I'll be at work most of the day and then playing in that 1E/2E game where the DM runs a fave character as an NPC, assuming of course I can stay awake. I have not charcoal grilled for quite a while. I also have propane as my option right now. I will have to try to accumulate some money to buy some good meat and do some grilling. I mowed my lawn today front and back in one go. Haven't been able to do that for a long time. Course it was 70F today, will have to see how it goes when it is 90F. Tomorrow my goal is to do some of the needed weed eating. That is tougher because I have to carry that instead of just push it. Here, they are forecasting more rain on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Hope you enjoy your game. I would love to do some in person gaming. Maybe next year sometime, we can have our own little mini-con just for gaming and swapping stories. |

Did some mowing myself here in suburbia. Had a mated pair of ducks chowing down at the bird feeder (all the stuff the other birds knock on the ground.) They eyeballed me as I mowed. I think they're anticipating the opening of our pool aka their personal duck pond.  |

I planned on mowing during this week to avoid doing so on the weekend but it rained quite a bit for a few days. Maybe I'll sneak in some basic yard work until it dries up. Who knows? |

We haven't opened the pool yet so they apparently don't care for the nasty water on the pool cover...but they're perfectly happy with slimy pods full of duckweed, go figure. |

Took my kid to the local pond recently. She had just seen "Return to Oz" for the first time, so we ended up building the Emerald City out of sparkly stones. She also stamped on the ground to hurt the Nome King.

I am always cold and this summer has been lacking in heat so far. I'd embrace such heat, even temporarily. My significant other is at the time of her life where she suffers from "constant summer" so the A/C is full blast! I just can't win  |

Soaking up the AC as it's going to be triple digits today! After the weather forecast saying really it was going to be really dry for an extended period, it has been really wet. Up to about 6 inches of rain in the last 3 weeks. We got hit by 100 mph winds a week ago. I was without power only until noon last Sunday. There were other people in town without electricity for 2 days after that. In Tulsa, sections of the city were without power for the entire following week. Ugh. |

I just can't win Whereas I can't afford to run the A/C except to cool the house at night enough so I can sleep. At the end of this month a rate increase goes into effect. At least I can stand the worse of the heat with a fan, unlike a few years ago when I had to keep it in the low 70s. I would gladly send you a bunch of the heat in my house, if I could. |

Maybe it will rain this weekend and I will have an excuse to sleep all day. I had to go in to write up the findings on my investigations on production defects on our buses. I didn't HAVE TO go in to do it. They gave me a VPN to upload any work with BUT if I'm doing work stuff, I'm going into the office, so I get PAID. |
