Hmmm...familiar with all but Daybreak, 2250 AD aka Starman's Son. I'll have to start looking for that one. Thanks, Morose. Have an Exalt.

I can recommend Children of the Dust by Louise Lawrence. The description at Amazon isn't much but I found it pretty interesting. It's a story covering 3 generations of England that are just after the bombs fall, a bit later, and much later after that iirc. I was the first person to check the book out of my school library in 1985 or 19867. It found it engaging as a young boy and I actually read it 2 more times over the years. I need to get a copy for my collection.

A Canticle For Leibowitz Non-Stop (Brian Aldiss, what Metamorphosis Alpha was loosely based on) I haven't read the second one, but the first is a great book.

I can't remember the name of the series but there was one where the Earth was encircled by massive artificial rings run by AI that kept the populace at a low technology level (pedal and wind powered trains, black powder weapons.) If AI detected too much advancement in tech it would zap the location and eradicate everything.
Dan Simmons had Illium and Olympos which were also post-apocalyptic/transhuman in nature.
