Not to be a black pilled downer, but THEY aren't gonna change a thing with the attitude that folks like you and me are merely "obstacles between them and their money." They really believe that in a few weeks the outrage will die down and they'll quietly stay the course with OGL 1.1 ...
Maybe all the cancelations of D&D Beyond subscriptions got THEIR attention?
sigh ...
JM.

Maybe all the cancelations of D&D Beyond subscriptions got THEIR attention? sigh ... JM. I don't think it matters too much at this point. They have a ton of bad PR, several major players are going OGL free and they have aliened tons of DMs which means their VTT is going to have trouble and they are not prepared yet to go full video game, so no DM needed and a dozen other things. They have not yet spoken out, but apparently they are now calling it OGL 2.0. I have read a ton of news and what I think they have done is instead of one semi-major competitor (Paizo), they have created the conditions to end out with 6 to 12 competitors. They have cut off hydra heads.
