Mandatory registration for products using SRD and OGL 1.1 (which negates ALL previous agreements and licenses.) AND they get to choose what is acceptable content representing their brand as well as claim any/all content they do approve of as their own.

That is what they want to do, I am hoping that no one is stupid enough to sign up for it, two - everyone who likes a specific system goes out and buys right now while it is still for sale, and three - that each creator has enough time to rewrite there product for a different system and can keep making product. There are enough things that can be written system neutral to keep product flowing. An alternate to DriveThruRPG will probably be needed and hopefully someone will set that up, someone that is not a snowflake at heart. Also when, not if, Wo$C goes after somebody, if they collect donations for their legal fund, I hope the community supports that. $10 each from 5,000 people is $50,000 and a lot of people could do $10 a month for long enough to keep the fight going for as long as it takes. I hope that if it comes to that, that way more than 5,000 people will donate at least a few times and I know some people can kick in way more than $10 and not miss it. |
