Telzey Amberdon is one of my all time favorite female characters. It has been many years since I read the original stories and I wish I had a copy of them and I wish the author had written a lot more. To me this is psionics and a system that would run them this well would be awesome. Also I always wanted more stories about the Crest Cats too. Telzey Amberdon

The Universe Against Her is a collected version of the first two Telzey Amberdon stories. It was originally published by Ace in 1964, then re-issued by Gregg Press in 1981.

Like I don't have enough unread books already ;-) About 50 years ago, I realized that life was too short to read a fraction of all the books worth reading, or to visit the places I would like to see or ... That is absolute truth! Too many books, places, random good stuff and NOT NEARLY enough time.

What doesn't help is I have some favorites I reread on occasion.

I have a number of books that I have read between 3 and 10 times. I even have some books I have read 30-40 times. You are my hero! When I go to book stores, I will pick it up and read a few pages. If it think it is worth re-reading I buy it, (especially now that I am older) if not, I might check it out of the library if they have it and it looks interesting to read once. Rarely do I select a book that I cannot get into at all. I very rarely do not finish a book.

Rarely do I select a book that I cannot get into at all. I very rarely do not finish a book. I fully support this idea! There's absolutely no reason to finish a book you're not interested in as an adult. If it doesn't catch your attention, then put it down and pick up something else. School days and mandatory reading are long over for the lot of us. No need to finish something you don't enjoy.
