This is really not surprising at all. I don't understand the gap between the low level of royalty reporting and the necessity to pay royalties. That's a BIG gap. It seems that they will entertain lowering the royalty minimum in the future. I'm neutral on the "creator badge" requirement. I'm more interested in seeing what the reaction to this new OGL will be. I remember when 4th did the GSL and it was practically crickets in response. Will other companies move to Pathfinder? Will they remain on their current OGL? Will they adopt something else entirely or develop their own rules? Interesting times ahead...

I would like to see the breakdown between how many people are using the 3/3.5E OGL and how many are using the 5E OGL. That will tell us quite a bit about the 6E OGL once we see what is in it. The 5E OGL is more restrictive than the 3/3.5E OGL from what I have read. The creator badge might be a wash and they would have to lower the royalty threshold a lot to affect most people. Kind of surprised that was not a previous requirement. |

Doesn't matter what they do with 6E, it shouldn't affect any of us.
