Spotlight vs. BUMP DAY - What's the Difference?

It became apparent that a change was needed to maintain consistency and clear up any confusion, so a clear distinction has been drawn between a spotlight post and a BUMP DAY post. This post will be stickied for reference and the description for the Center Stage area of the forums will be amended as well. Here's what you need to know.
A new spotlight thread may be started by any member at any time in the Center Stage forum. A spotlight thread should contain a link to the original thread and your purpose for bringing discussion here. Do you want to take the conversation in a different direction? Did you find a post in the original thread that should be broken off separately and discussed in further detail? Would you like to just reboot the conversation? You can bring that here in a spotlight thread.
What if you simply desire to necro the thread and continue the original conversation? The single, continuing BUMP DAY post is where you want to do that. A bump day post may be made by any member, but we ask that you do so on the 13th of every month. A bump day post should contain a link to the original thread and maybe a quick blurb, but the point of the post is to "bump" the discussion and continue at the original thread.
