Speed Pain(?) or SpeedPaint looks really interesting! I'm a lazy painter so this stuff appeals. Search for it on YouTube. Looks pretty handy. I need to work with it some more. was it costly?

Search for it on YouTube. Looks pretty handy. I need to work with it some more. was it costly? No. The Vallejo Xpress Color is iirc $4 per bottle at the FLGS. I only bought the colors I needed at the time so not very much each visit. I think the Army Painter Speed Paint is a little bit more expensive, but the FLGS tends to sell it in a starter set for $50 with a nice variety. You can also buy a mega set with a ton of them for over $100. This is version 1 and it would reactivate if you painted over it and people were doing amazing things with the blending because it looked really cool. Some liked it, some didn't. They're on version 2 and I hear it doesn't reactivate like the previous formula. I don't believe it is available in the starter set but it is available in singles and a huge mega set. I haven't tried either version of this paint. I believe the GW Contrast works similar to speed paint or Xpress colors, but I didn't buy any because all I saw available was the taller pots for around $8-$10 each. For all I know, the smaller pots may have just been sold out at the moment. I'm not a fan of pots. I like the dropper bottles. YMMV. Maybe that helps. Maybe it's gibberish. You make the call.
