Oof. This doesn't look quite like my preferred flavor, but there is something intriguing about it. I'll take a look at the Quick Start, too, and I'll look forward to hearing more about the game from people who might do more with it... |

(Resurrecting this because I just noticed the thread)
I played this for a little while at a local gaming store (~2009). I found it tended to suffer from too many skills and the party tended to only be good at a few things leading to sessions getting frustrating for both GM and players. I understand there's a newer edition out that adds more player agency at the expense of being 'realistic'.
I loved the setting, though, and kept trying to get interesting stories to tell - but interest just wasn't there.
