.Other than Tarzan movies my first exposure to ERB is the John Carter Series, I have read the whole thing about 4 times and it was very influential to my youth. It really affected the way I see women.

My first exposure was a few old Tarzan books in hard back printed in the 40s IIRC, they were my dad younger brothers books and they got passed on to me from my youngest uncle. I read those before I saw any of the old Tarzan movies and I have always wished for all of them to be made into movies that follow the books. Tarzan was a great role model when it comes to women.

Tarzan is awesome, the most ethical character ever created IMO.

Too repetitive in the later books.

Too repetitive in the later books. That is a feature, not a bug!

Let's Rock! Read a lot about Edgar, love all of it except for Tarzan From your later comment about Tarzan movies, I have to say the Tarzan movies suck, they don't follow the books and they misrepresent most of the characters. Read the books, while they do deserve some criticism, what cannot be denied is the world building. Some of those books are the basis of great campaign worlds right there for the taking.
