While I haven't completed all of my worlds religions and beliefs I have the two major deities of law and chaos. In my setting I have the same set of gods/goddesses throughout the lands but they are known by different names and symbols. Here's the little I have so far on these two
Ammuunar(symbol -- Sword and sun); Aten (symbol -- a rising sun) The Lightbringer, Bringer of Law and Order
Ammuunar, called the Lightbringer, the Lawgiver, and the Lord of the Dawn, is the god of light, law and creation. He is symbolized by the a sword thrust halfway into the ground with a rising sun behind it, and the lion is his sacred animal. And as Aten he is symbolized with a rising sun. He is the All Father and the foe of chaos and darkness. Druaga and Ammuunar are vicious and eternal foes. During an epic battle between Druaga and Ammuunar on the plains of the underworld, Druaga was nearly slain by Ammuunar (Druaga’s followers tell a slightly different story). Beaten and nearly defeated Druaga lay at the feet of Ammuunar. Just as Ammuunar was to deliver the death blow Druaga cast his blood upon the ground where it mixed with the smoke, fire and ash of the battlefield. From seven droplets of blood Druaga formed the Balor — demons of smoke and fire. These “sons” quickly whisked Druaga away stealing victory from Ammuunar’s grasp.
Druaga (Symbol-- head of a balor) Lord of demons and the underworld;Set (Symbol -- A serpent) --- lord of demons, serpents and dark magic; Hades (symbol --a swirl of black on a grey background) Lord of the underworld and darkness
He is the eternal foe of Ammuunar. It is taught the he and Ammuunar battled fiercely on a battlefield in the underworld. A furious battle that seemed to be leading to a stalemate, when through luck Ammuunar managed to strike a vicious blow spilling a pool of Druaga's blood. From this pool Druaga created the first of his demons — the Balor. Victory easily within Druaga’s grasp, the Lord of Demons decided to leave the battlefield forcing Ammuunar to concede defeat and leaving Ammuunar with the knowledge that he failed to stop the might of Druaga.
Other cults that will need development:
Nephtlys the Lady of Fortune, goddess of wealth and protector of the dead
Maat the Master of Secrets, god of knowledge, learning, and magic.
Dark gods
Anshar The Blasphemer, god of profanity, obscenity, and madness
Apesh – The Poisoner, god of lies, treachery, and subterfuge
Dagon The Sea Father, god of the murky depths and tidal waves.
His wife is mother hydra.
Derketo – goddess of seduction, adultery, and decadence
