I found The World of Synnibarr from the discounted and used area of my FLGS. The game is infamous for poor design in the rpg community. I've never tried creating a character or even playing a session of this game, but it's definitely in the gonzo style of play. For example, the wikipedia entry states that "Synnibarr is set on Mars 50,000 years in the future, hollowed out and turned into a spaceship to take humanity to a safe place after the Earth had been destroyed. Civilization is beginning to be rebuilt after a series of disasters and technology is practiced as a religion.". Any Questions? Do you have any crazy games like this in your collection? Have you ever played the game?

This looks pretty nutty, like a Martian Rifts or something. Nice find. Never played it, never even saw a copy before.

It certainly is a kitchen sink kind of game. Looks like you found a 1st edition copy there. I believe JeffsGamblog did a review of this gonzo game. It's playable if a little math heavy and a lot over-the-top.

You could probably use the Traveller Rules to play this. You have Traveller people on the forum you could ask for advice.
