Sure you can! I don't want to sell the pelt before the bear has been shot (Danish idiom, can't remember the English one) though that might give it that more of an incentive to follow through with it

I'll add it to the existing DATG thread?

Put them both here in the Village Commons to begin with.

This is coming up fast, TPD has less than two weeks now until the first blog post goes up. Why don't we post something that inspired us about Dave Arneson and Blackmoor? We can give TPD some ideas through our thoughts.

I suspect I can throw something together in time for October 1st. I do have Adventures in Fantasy, Champions of ZED, and Dragons at Dawn to choose from. Thinking cap is on...

I'm coming up dry for writing prompts and it looks like most people are in the same boat I am in.

I have started my review of Dave Arneson's True Genius. It will be an ongoing thing and I put the first post relating to the book on my blog:
I will post it in the thread with commentaries about the book to keep th two subjects of Blackmoor Week and DATG separate.

Have an exalt, that is a great blog post. I see you are reading The Architecture of Complexity and The Sciences of the Artificial. I am sure that your study of continuum mechanics is of great help to you in reading the reference texts and the book itself. Perhaps you will be able to come back to the forum here and explain some of it to us when you have completed all the reading. It has been over 40 years since I was last in school and I am sure that is a bit of a hindrance with something requires real study, which was never my strong suit. BTW guys, his blog does not have many posts, but you should read the one about the mechanics of traps.

And if you have any comments about those texts you linked to, I would be very glad to see them, maybe some of the rest of us can check them out, too.

BTW guys, his blog does not have many posts, but you should read the one about the mechanics of traps. Yes, everyone should! It is clear and very solid. And it links to another set of trap-related posts that also looks worthwhile.

Thank you friends. It will take me a while to gnaw trough the books of the bibliography. Though it might be worthwile to do a blog post on eash of them to consolidate my thoughts and learning in the meantime

...and happy Dave Arneson day! Yesterday, I also mentioned an announcement for today: HERE IT IS! I read your post, this is an amazing project and I hope it results in the book being republished. You realize you are going to be deluged with requests for a copy. They will just have to wait for the estate to act. Have an Exalt! I am helping spread the word.
