Let me kick this off with a question I had:
The last few days I've been pouring over the great tome that arrived last Tuesday. Mainly the rules part at the end of the book and it really feels old school as it seems very complicated. Combat for instance.
I see combat (and the roll to hit) come up a few times and I am wondering how they all come together.
-The "Strength" score entry (p.101) tells us that Fighters with 15+ Str get +1 to hit per level (+2 damage)
-The Combat Capability Tables show us that all classes get extra attack rolls against 'normal opponents" based on their level (p.114)
-The Combat resolution (p.119) tell us that each character ads +1 per experience level to combat resolution rolls.
Does this mean that a 5th level fighter with STR 15 get:
-+5 (str/level) and +5 (combat resolution +1/level) = +10 to attack when fighting magical monsters like dragons or basilisks
and.
-4 attacks at +5 (str/level) +5 (level) +1 (Combat Capability) = +11 each against multiple 'normal opponents like bandits, goblins or orcs etc.?
A wizard of the same level would get one attack of +5 (level) against a magical creature or 3 attacks of +5 each against 1HD opponents?
Is that correct? That would be interesting, very lethal and swingy combat
