I know that I have posted this before but we have a lot of new members and I love these stories. Mine is a 2 part one about dice. Most of all how hard is it to keep the dice on the darn table!. 2, Don't shake the dice for a long time and never talk to them. It's ok if you are describing what you are doing or asking questions, don't just sit there and shake dice!
How about you?

My pet peeve is people who are incapable of making a decision. Fight, talk, bluff, or run, that is an instant decision and must be made in an instant, if you dither you reap the rewards of dithering.

One of my biggest pet peeves is when it's time to game and someone thinks it's time to do a late night talk show monologue. BE QUIET and let's game. This isn't open mic night.

I mean they will NOT shut their mouth for one second and let the game proceed at all.

Believe me, I enjoy the little Monty Python quotes or references people make during a game OR if someone cracks a joke or wants to try something improbable and possibly silly. Fire away. When it passes over into attention whore category where the game basically ends it just irritates me.

Did you get rid of the player?

Did you get rid of the player? He actually got rid of himself. Everybody kept dropping polite hints off and on throughout the game. At the end of the session while everyone else was headed out he was dragging behind and he said something about the rest of us being too serious. I politely explained to him that the jokes and stuff were cool but we just wanted him to spread it out throughout the night a bit. He replied with the ever popular "F*** you guys and F*** your game!" as he stormed out of the house and he never came back to game again. I was a little shocked but I wasn't going to beg for an apology or anything. He would ask one of us how our game was going when we ran into each other and the most he ever got in response was something like "Good" or "Great" and nothing else. He never apologized or asked to come back to game and we never invited him back. We were all cool outside of that so I don't know.

I would like to run enough to have a pet peeve. That can be a lifetime goal for me.
I don't really have a peeve regarding my online interactions (this is not said as any kind of putdown to those who do, I have a million pet peeves and complaints in parts of life where I am more experienced). I know a lot of people involved in gaming have experienced unpleasant interactions, especially since I found and got more involved in this forum. So we can call the atmosphere on this forum my inverted pet peeve.

My pet peeve is hearing people with friends to game with complain about those friends. Yes, I talk to the dice, I talk to myself all the time, I talk to the car, to the stove, to the refrigerator, pretty much inanimate object.

You too, so I am not alone in that regard. Oh no, I'm right there with you! If you drive very much, I don't see how you cannot believe in miracles, there are enough bad drivers, there is no other way to explain why the death rate is not 20 times higher.

I have often thought this. Too many people drive like they are drunk, even when they are cold sober. How they ever passed a driving test for a license is a mystery.

I grew up riding dirt bikes in my teens but I know one thing for certain and that is that I would NEVER get a motorcycle on the highway or the city streets. We used to jump them and practice wheelies and all kinds of stuff. None of us ever got hurt except for maybe a bruised ego or hurt pride. The open road? No way, no how. I even drove in Somalia and I have no interest in being on a motorcycle on the streets. It's the other drivers. They pay little to no attention to what they are doing. Scary.
