Ok I read exactly 2 pages and have noticed a HUGE variation from their source material(The Dying Earth books by Jack Vance) on magic. It's not looking good .

They have the spells categorized wrong. They should be greater and lesser and instead they are straightforward or complex

The problem is that they have memorization based on their new categories instead of the way they should be. This means that they are not properly ranked by power(I am still going to read ir all, just I will not be using it)

The coolest part of the book is they detailed the spells and memorization(heck D&D magic is based on it). It should have been a no brainer.

Never saw the game, enjoyed the books, a lot. Have you read the tribute book "Songs of the Dying Earth? As a huge fan of Vance and Vancian magic in D&D, i thought it was a good 600 page read.
