A poster known as themattjon formerly known as oldschooler posted the following on Knights & Knaves Alehouse back in 2005 but it was deleted from that site several years ago and themattjon has not been seen in years. I am posting this here because he posted it freely for others to use. If themattjon wants this removed please let me know.
Egyptian Mythological Creatures and Objects: A
Ab-She
No. Appearing: 1, Armor Class: 4, Move: 6", [swim 12”], Hit Dice: 7, % in Liar: 80, Treasure Type: A, No. of Attacks: 1, special, Damage/Attack: 1-8, Confusion gaze, Alignment: Chaos.
The ab-she is a monstrous crocodilian that emerges from rivers at night to devour the unwary. The ab-she appears as a large 12’ crocodile with six glowing multifaceted eyes. Any creature meeting the gaze of these eyes must save or become confused as per a Confusion spell.
Achet
An amulet made of a clear red stone representing the sun rising in the east. A token of Ra, an achet conveys on the wearer immunity from undead attacks that cause paralyzation and +1 Strength.
Akhekh
No. Appearing: 2-8, Armor Class: 7, Move: 15", [fly 18”], Hit Dice: 3+3, % in Liar: 30, Treasure Type: C,S, No. of Attacks: 3, Damage/Attack: 1-4/1-4/1-6, Alignment: Chaos.
Akhekh have the body of a large antelope (e.g., an elan) and the head and wings of a vulture. Associated with the evil god Set, akhekh prowl desert margins and oases attacking all who appear weak.
Amam (the devourer)
No. Appearing: 1, Armor Class: 5, Move: 6", [swim 6”], Hit Dice: 11, % in Liar: 50, Treasure Type: R,S,T, No. of Attacks: 3, Damage/Attack: 1-4/1-4/2-12, Alignment: Law.
This fell beast possesses the forequarters and head of a crocodile, the mane of a lion and the hindquarters of a hippo. Amam roam all climes but prefer wet-lands and riparian environments. Although a fearsome beast, the amam will not attack those with a completely pure heart, but since such adult individuals are very rare, the amam is greatly feared. Amam are immune to any form of illusion, charm or mind control magic and speak their own language.
Amkihiu
No. Appearing: 1-6, Armor Class: 9, +1 weapon or better to hit, Move: [fly 18”], Hit Dice: 1+1, % in Liar: 100, Treasure Type: none, No. of Attacks: 1, Damage/Attack: STR drain, Alignment: Law.
The souls of the blessed who have been fortunate enough to obtain admission onto the boat of the sun god Ra as he crosses through the night heavens. Amkihiu appear as “shadows” of light. Enemies of chaos, amkihui will attack chaotic creatures and those chaotically aligned draining 1 point of Strength. Amkihiu, however, will never intentionally drain all the strength from a creature and will only drain 1 point each before departing. Amkihui are friends of law and each can restore up to 1 point of Strength loss due to attacks by the undead. Amkihiiu are often found in proximity to tombs either as guardians or to counter and watch the undead.
