Here is the place for Style questions, hengest . My players are thoroughly trained in navigating mao, but you are going to find everything is a little confusing,. Keep in mind you are joining a game w peeps that all have been together for over 30 years and it will be a tough learning curve. I love what little you have posted in The Perilous Dreamer game. Just hang in there. If you want to wait for the other players that's OK too, But I ALWAYS start w action! You have been together w the group for several weeks and you are having trouble remembering the last week, something is blocking your memory a little.

I believe if you starve players for information they will be hungry and ask a lot of questions and be more into it. That is the way I have been running for 30 years. it's about the mystery.

I think I am going to run this in the style that I always wanted. I love this and am going to go into super detail, for the record I have no desire to keep up the 40 posts a day. I just was enjoying that as an opening. I want you guys to post at least 3 times a week in the action thread, as we get into it I hope everyone will post daily.

Did I miss the thing that was going to be so confusing? The game seems pretty straightforward so far.

I believe if you starve players for information they will be hungry and ask a lot of questions and be more into it. OOG: This is why I have always felt it was best in OD&D that the players (all non-referees) not even read the rules. The mechanics they need to know is very minimal. Also if they don't read the rules, it really hinders rules lawyers, of which I have had almost none.
