How high would you have to drop a from to momentarily reduce its hit points to zero? And would that work?

How high would you have to drop a from to momentarily reduce its hit points to zero? And would that work? It would not work IMO, terminal velocity would not do enough damage to take it to zero, worse it would not stun it. Now I you could somehow launch it into space on a course for the sun, now that would work.

If the party were able to get a tarrasque into the sky like that I would allow it to drop it to zero, they would still have to do the other things required which is tough enough by itself.

I am minimally familiar with the details of tarrasque biology, but maybe it could be ruled that only so much falling damage would be absorbed by the tarrasque and the rest would damage the landscape?

Perhaps a house-rule, rarely invoked, for dropping tarrasques, could say that the damage travels through the landscape and is distributed to those nearby.
