the bedroom (100 years)

In the days when there were no explorers and this place was still known, the house served one family for over one hundred years.  The room in question was inhabited by the young people of several generations over this time.  They did not explore a ruin, they simply lived in the house, despite the goings-on of battle, plague, and heartbreak.  The room changed bit by bit as resident after resident passed through it.  

This thread is for slow exploration of the history of the bedroom.

All years are given as negative values against the time of play, which is year 0.  Further experiences with the room, should they extended into the future, will be tracked as positive integers.  

-3 to zero: Nothing happens.  The room is utterly silent.  It shows no signs of life at all.  Were there someone to observe it, they would sense only the empty solemnity of a house that is not even haunted.
