Deck the Halls with Boughs of Howrry Fah-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra...oh wait wrong holiday ;-) Happy Thanksgiving, I couldn't resist The Christmas Story reference LOL My wife loved The Christmas Story, I loved it too, but I found parts of it painful to watch repeatedly, but did anyway, it was an annual must watch again as was A Christmas Carol. As a comparison, I found I Love Lucy and similar comedies too painful to watch a second time. By painful, I mean when people do really stupid stuff, it is hard to watch again, because their decisions make you cringe. You want to intervene and stop the train wreck and you cannot. I also love A Christmas Story, a true classic. I know what you mean about parts being painful to watch repeatedly. Which version of A Christmas Carol? I do not know Dickens well at all, but I think that book is brilliant and adaptable.

But Lucy's expressions were priceless! Quite true and she was very good looking too and never lost her looks, even in old age. A master comedienne and smart cookie!

A Christmas Carol, I am fond of these versions and in this order. Alastair Sim - this is IMO the best of the lot and the one that I prefer to re-watch on the same day. Reginald Owen George C. Scott Patrick Stewart I have not seen the Alastair Sim one in forever, I would love to watch it again this year. Maybe it's because the holidays were so strange last year, but this time I am really craving that holiday spirit.
