What do you do for overnight healing?
I usually do Level plus CON bonus as overland healing, x3 if you rest the whole day How about you?
Do you do binding?
I did d6 binding of woulds after a fight that you must take at least one, but I have had a lot of variations on this Only so many times a day Must be done by clerics must have the medic skill d4 instead of d6 don't need to take a min. of one
Some ideas
d4 from taking one strong drink once a day(crypts and things) heal d8 from taking a second wind9D&D4th) acupuncture (varies on technique) mine

If you are not on watch and you get eight hours then you healed 3 points per night. Originally the only other healing was magical. I change it up every so often.

I think these are the most common house rules, never ran into a group that didnt have some kind of binding rule back in the day

Binding wounds right away stabilizes you and then heals 1d6 the first 24 hours and 1d6+3 every 24 hours after that until fully healed. Also must take over 50% damage before a wound that needs bound occurs.

I have played it as you heal one point per day, unless you are resting and doing nothing in which case you heal 2 points. If you are resting and a pretty girl is taking care of you, then you heal 3 points a day from the morale boost. Magical healing is the only way you can speed things up.

Thanks, I know we are not supposed to notice or compliment a woman's looks anymore, but I am too old to change, a pretty girl always lifts my spirits. I don't care how much is just lucky genetics, if a girl looks really good, chances are very high that she spent some time to make that happen.

I like the bonus for being taken care of by a pretty girl. Now how can we port that over to the real world.

I have never really given much thought to this coming from 5E where there is more healing than you know what to do with. But I was reading through OD&D and I can see how healing was a real issue.

I don't envy young men these days, between a number of factors (which I will not name here) I can understand so many opting out of trying to date or marrying. Men are in a can't win trick bag these days.
