This thread will be for marching orders, and other player initiated references as needed. If one of you is going to map somehow, this would be the place for it

I propose the following marching order for 2X2:
Halstaff / Acanthophis Sorten / Cleric Spear / Spear
I am NO GOOD with mapping! Hope one of the two other players is better than I!

"Lets put the redshirts in front", suggests Acanthopis.
The veteran point out to Halstaff that procurement of parchement and ink might be a prerequisite to mapping.

"Lets put the redshirts in front", suggests Acanthopis. The veteran point out to Halstaff that procurement of parchement and ink might be a prerequisite to mapping. I see your point. I was thinking that it made sense to put the folks with the best AC up front. I was also thinking that we would be more likely to keep retainers if we treat them well, don't just make them"bait." Usually, I would put hired spears in the second row, but we don't have enough PCs for that. We need to protect the magic user in the center. So, I put the spears in the back to protect him. If we go with your suggestion, we will need to put two PCs with high AC in the back. That keeps us a little bit from our role in directing exploration. Let me know if I've convinced you. If not, I am will go with your suggestion. Who wants to drop the coin to purchase the mapping material? I am up for it, just let me know.

Acanthus will gladly purchase the necessary equipment, arguing that his mapping might best be done at the center or the party, providing the magic user with a mighty veteran for protection.
He will also nobly volunteer to act as rearward to prevent any suprises from behind.

Thanks for Acunthus' purchase, The Red Baron. How about the following, then: Halstaff / Spear Sorten / Cleric Acanthophis / Spear

bestialwarlust, The Red Baron, tetramorphGuys I posted here about the townsfolk providing basic writing supplies. That's just in the interest of keeping the logistics thread free of clutter (but a little isn't too bad though).

merctime, are there actually three spears and not just two? Let me know and I will modify the marching order accordingly.

merctime, are there actually three spears and not just two? Let me know and I will modify the marching order accordingly. Yep, there are Ralt, Darno, and Ospres the militiamen. BUT. You aren't obligated to take all 3. Just check the reference charts and take your pick!
