L5 Mage

This spell is the key to the Mages edge over the Liches. So far the Liches have not figured out how the Mages have such good intelligence on their foes actions so far.

Developed by the Cabal(The leadership) in the mid stages of the war, this is what turned the tide by making it easier for the mid level Mages to act against much tougher foes as they had very accurate info.

Turn to fungus as might be expected turns the Mage into a small patch of fungus for exactly one week.The fungus does not radiate magic and looks completely ordinary.. Further defenses can be cast within one turn earlier and will last the full week instead of the normal duration.The Mage cannot cast further until spell wears out. While a fungus the Mage can see and hear normally. This is an amazing tool of spying..

Turn to Rat
L2 Mages(arcane)

This spell was developed by the Mages to "disguise " The Turn to Fungus spell w a lower level spell to make the Liches think that this is providing the the info that the Mages have been getting.

This spell enables a Mage to turn into an ordinary rat for 5 turns. The Mage is unable to cast in this form. As this has none of the protections of the other spell, this is most likely a suicide mission. Ah and full of Mages have been able to be very successful to the point of pulling them off the field and into trainers. A cat version is also in development.
