I went sleep walking last night. I walked out of my bedroom and went to the living room and layed down on the couch. The only memory I have is waking up on the couch and going back to the bedroom. I gotta admit Im a little freaked out.

Sleepwalking. Are you taking Ambien? It'll do it.
My uncle once claimed he woke up one night climbing the stairs with a butcher knife.

My favorite definition of stress . . .
"Stress is what happens to the nervous system and associated bodily functions as the result of the civilized mind's suppression of the lizard brain's urge to rip the throat out of some a**hole."

A couple of days latter I woke up and my Chrome was missing. My autistic son sometime messes w it but not like this. It was like 5 in the morning and I was roaming all over the house w a flashlight. Finally found it in the laundry hamper. Must have done it in my sleep, but all this was weeks ago and hopefully my late night activities are over

Last night I forgot something in my car and went back out there, only to realize I left my keys inside. After retrieving my keys, I got back to the car only to realize that I no longer remembered what it was that I had forgotten . . . <sigh>

The things that happen during sleep--dreams, strange awakenings, memories--are like a whole other life that no one cares about, but you just keep living it anyway.

I've been taking melatonin to get better sleep. It usually works, but the dreams are INTENSE. I often wake up these days still talking to the people that I encounter in the dreams.

I took melatonin once (I think) in college, hearing it was so great. I am very into sleep and dreams and I was more into them at that time. But I was afraid of what it did to me! I remember feeling like the whole bottle was going to waste, but oh well.

I took melatonin once (I think) in college . . . But I was afraid of what it did to me! Yep. The first night I took it, the results scared the bejesus out of me! I woke up with a yell from a dream in which I had just fallen into a pile of snakes. It was a couple of days before I tried it again. By now I'm sorta used to the side effects, if you can call them that. As I see it, the dreams are just what you would get anyway, if you could only sleep that deeply without extra help from the melatonin. It's rather like being in the movie Inception but without the danger of getting stuck there, which is pretty cool.

I have had vivid dreams my entire life. As a kid there were several dreams that I had the same dreams hundreds of times. When I have dreamed of falling I go splat at the bottom. I do not wake up before that or after, I just keep going. I have had dreams of endless chase scenes that seem to go on for hours. I have dreams of driving and the brakes will not work and I crash. The only dreams I have ever had that woke me up were scary dreams I had after seeing The Blob at the drive in when I was 4 years old. I saw it again when I was older (a teen & of course since then too) and wondered what about it scared me.
I also have dreams about flying like superman. I have dreams about being an orphan that grows up to be over 9 feet tall and an incredible athlete. I have dreamed of a lot of different things and I frequently remember the dreams. It is where some of my game ideas come from. I have dreamed about being chased by dinosaurs and being rescued by a Pterosaur that picked me up and flew off with me and left a disapointed T-Rex behind.
I started taking melatonin about 10 years ago, I cannot tell that it has any sides effects at all for me and it does not seem to change the way that I dream or the kind of dreams that I have always had at all. I usually take 6 mg, but have taken 10 mg for months at a time. But at least 6 mg every night for the last 10 years or so.

As for sleep walking I did that for years as a child and in the winter we had a cast iron stove about 5 feet tall in the living room that we burned coal and wood in. When the weather was sub-zero, it would have been glowing red for several hours before we went to bed to get the house as warm as possible and then dad would bank the fire for the night. There would be frost in places in my room by morning, because it was farthest from the stove. I never got hurt in all the years I sleep walked.

I have dreams of driving and the brakes will not work and I crash. I have this one quite often. The car I'm driving in these dreams is usually the old Mustang I had back in the late 80s. In RL it didn't have a brake pedal, just the bare metal arm to which a pedal was supposed to be attached. You had to be very careful to center your foot on this arm when braking or it could easily slip off at the wrong time. < I realize now that I was a positive danger to everyone on the road - myself included! - while driving this rattletrap. But at the time I just didn't want to spend the money to buy a replacement pedal . . . > Anyway, in the dreams my foot is always slipping off this not-pedal.

Yeah, in mine the pedal just goes all the way to the floor and it just does not work. I have driven a lot of rattletraps in my life. I had one car that would not go past 60, but it would start at -20°F.

My younger sister really liked driving my Mustang, even with all its [many] faults. To order to get to town from our house, you had to climb up and over a long, steep hill. The first time she borrowed it her comment was: "Wow! A car that can actually accelerate up that hill!"

Someone shared this GIF with me via Facebook and I thought it might brighten someone's day if I passed it on. While I haven't watched it a hundred times like the OP supposedly did, I have watched it a couple of dozen times and laughed each time: giphy.com/gifs/justviralnet-funny-kid-revenge-f8VAW1dUAyNoOb4dybVery *Quick* Kid to Mom (if she could only talk): "What? This is perfectly good food! You want me to give it to these flying rats???!"

Let me tell you, I am a smoker and have tried several times to quit w the drug Chantix. If I was of the wrong mind I would take it for fun, just to have the incredible dreams it gives you. I was luckier than most as mine were all super fun, a lot of people have a diff reaction to it. I also was able to control my dreams once in a while as I was aware I was dreaming.
