Do you go w the fun one or do you use the far less glamorous Haste? In most play Haste effectively does way more damage and is way more flexible. But is there anything quite as satisfying as doing a major cook out w fireball ?
Thoughts?

Bitd, the M-U IMC frequently took haste to cast on the thieves. Haste combined with backstab is pretty lethal.

Fireball doesn't age everyone in the party every time it's cast.

Fireball doesn't age everyone in the party every time it's cast. The aging effect was not in OD&D the 3 LBBs and I chose not to house rule it in. |
