Matt, you can use this thread to work on your character. Oh, JR said you were interested in an Aslan character. I'm not opposed to alien characters, but keep in mind this isn't the canon Traveller Universe, so technically there are no Vargr, Aslan, Zhodani, Vilani, Bwaps, etc. 
OTOH, I don't have a problem with you coming up with a cat-like, ape-like, dog-like, bear-like, or even dinosaur-like character.
All I ask is that whatever you come up with be able to "play well with others." Your PC will be aboard a ship filled, mostly with humans, so you'll have to be able to get along with humans so don't make him/her/it toooo alien. If you get my drift.
