The Dun Kells Risk Play-by-Post campaign needs a substitute for the character of the Grand Duchess Eleanor, the Unquenchable, of Gallica. If the original player does not return to play within two full turns the substitute will have the option to become the permanent player for Eleanor and Gallica. Do you like D&D? Do you like "End Game," campaign-level play? Do you have fun playing wargames? Risk? Then we need YOU!

What are the requirements in terms of participation? How frequently are responses required? How long is that level of participation required? I don't get busy at work for several months. If the length is not much greater than that I may be able to play.

jmccann, thanks for showing interest. Well, requirements in terms of participation are something I would like us to work out and form a bit better "social contract" concerning. I had hoped for "phases" within turns of about one week each so that a turn would happen roughly over the course of a month. This means sending in your orders for each normal phase (reinforcement, invasion, fortification) and some role-play, public and private by PM, during the house-ruled "negotiation" phase. Again, my hope is that each of these phases can be completed in a week each. For you, it can be as simple as sending me a PM with your orders as soon as you see that a given phase has "opened," for play. This level of participation I would see as standard and lasting the length of the game. As role play becomes more intense through negotiations and direct battle between PCs, there may be a bit more participation required. In such situations, I cannot ever see it requiring more than a post a day over a period of a few days, until these particular role-playing situations are hammered out. Then things would move back to "normal" play. At the rate we have been playing, "several" months should cover the two turns I am giving the missing player. Then, if you needed to bow out, I could seek a new player again. Not a problem. "Easy come, easy go." I just would want it to be fun for you, as that is the main purpose of joining a game. Please consider, ask any more questions you may have, and let me know what you think. Thank you.

The Red Baron, Yes. Next phase, I will just start actively recruiting potentials.

Gentlemen, I'd be privileged to play in this game with you all. As I'm a bit time-consumptive with work and life at the current moment, this and Makofan's extraordinarily awesome Verbosh campaign on Fin's boards are the only two I'll be able to make time for, though. If you all will have me, I shall enter the game forthwith! Shall we say, meet on the hillock outside of the old church, alone, and bearing the seals of our relevant duchies, at daybreak? ...Did I mention to meet alone? ...No, you don't think you notice a gaggle of bowmen in the treeline yonder EDIT: And, an exalt to Tetramorph for devising and running this very detailed game. Nicely done; I don't think I could have managed to put this together myself.
