A thought just struck me. Other than a love of all things D&D, I think we have one other thing that we can all agree on. REH. I don't think an unkind word about everybody's fav barbarian has been said? Thoughts?

I love REH, but not just his Conan stories. I love his historical fiction like the stories compiled in The Sowers of the Thunder anthology. Though I do love Conan and I need to catch up on my REH reading. I need to read his Soloman Kane, Bran Mak Morn and Kull stories as well.

I mostly know Kane from comics but read one short story(ironically the same as most of the comics) but I thought i was pretty decent.

Read the original stories, Kane is a righteous (at least in his own mine) avenger/revenger self-appointed vigilante who has strong self-defined Puritan informed moral code. I have never tired that, but he would make a Paladin who is anything but a goody two-shoes.

I love all of the REH stories, have you read his boxing stories, they are seriously great stories, some of his best stuff IMO.

Love this kind of thing. Breckinridge Elkins is my kind of humor.
