I've done a little more than glance at the preview PDFs Chaosium has made available and, brother, let me tell you, theses pages are beautiful to behold. The system is slick and looks a lot like Classic RuneQuest to me. There's a lot to absorb, or at least I think so, but I may have to get on the bandwagon and purchase this beauty ...

From what I've heard the new edition is supposed to be closer to the old 2e RuneQuest rules. Here is the page & it links to how to buy the game on site.

JMiskimen have you gotten the RuneQuest Roleplaying in Glorantha full game yet? I want to get it but I am wondering how much they'll charge for the print version since the full PDF is nearly $30. $30 bucks for a PDF when that can go towards the print version instead is something I am seriously considering. BTW the new RuneQuest Roleplaying in Glorantha is supposed to be RuneQuest Classic at its core with some things from Avalon Hill's 3e RQ and new Rune magic rules.

Not yet, but it's on my radar.

JMiskimen since you've had to read the PDF, what are your thoughts on it now? What parts of the new rules impressed you? If the full rules keep the promise of the preview PDF is RuneQuest RiG do you think you'd run it? Once I dig deep into the preview and eventually the full game I could really see me running RQ RiG when I am not running an OD&D based games.

The preview is beautiful to behold as rpg books go - the art is fantastic and really set a theme for the books. I'll be honest, I skimmed through what I had, but it seemed solid. I'd run it, but I also have Midgard for 5E and I have barely cracked the cover on that ... but yeah, I'd rune Runescape - Hell yeah.

Cool, also once you get into Midgard please post something about it the Village commons as I'd be interested reading your thoughts about it when you get a chance.
